| This is Plugger's newest Shaft Lock! All of our Rods will now feature them! They are also available as replacement locks! This shaft lock is made from heavy duty ABS and has stainless steel hardware. Weighs only 1.1 ounces and, unlike the twist locks used by the various manufacturers, it does not utilize a "cam" so it is not prone to the "sticky" lower rod problems associated with the Cam Locks (twist locks) used on almost all stock detector shafts. On the water machines, especially, the cam gets crapped up with sand and salt and the lower rod "freezes" up inside of the upper shaft. This can cause damage to both the lower rod and the twist lock. With this new lock, you just loosen the knob and flush the shaft and lower rod with water and it will loosen up quite easily. Plugger's Hip Mount Kit This Excalibur Hip Mount comes with a 2" web belt that goes up to a 46" waist size. Most others only have a 1" belt, cuts into your body, and is downright uncomfortable. The belt color scheme may change slightly but it will always be black. The "Dual Loop" in the foreground is his "Cable Restraint System" to protect the cable connection to the control pod. Instructions are included. It's very easy to set up. Plugger's New Chest Mount Kit! Introducing our new Excalibur Chest Mount Harness. It is made from soft, yet firm 2" Polyester webbing, very similar to seat belt webbing. It has low water absorption, much lower than nylon and, unlike nylon, it is resistant to rot and mildew, so it is perfect for water hunting. It is much softer than polyweb belts and 5 times more abrasive resistant. The belt strap is 60" long and the shoulder straps are 44" long so there is plenty of adjustment for all size bodies. Color is Black. It also has his new "Cable Restraint System" so you don't have to worry about damaging your cable connections. See the picture below of Bill pulling on the coil cable and you can see the stress on the belt while the cable going to the control pod remains slack. This is a must for people who hip or chest mount their Excals. Please tell us if you swing your detector rod with your Right or Left hand so that he can put the CRS (Cable Restraint System) on the correct side and save you the trouble of moving it, although it isn't hard to move, it's just easier when the belt and harness is first assembled.
